Areas of Professional Interest:

My background (before I converted to librarianship) was in biology and the health sciences.  The wonderful thing about being a librarian is that everything I ever worked on or learned about, from raptors to vegetable genetics to AIDS and TB research has the potential to be incredibly useful.  My main interest at MCTC is in working with students to figure out the best way to get the information they need.  Sometimes this is at the reference desk, and sometimes in the classroom, but I love it when (as Oprah says) the “aha” moment happens!
