Ancient Rural Cultures (agricultural, pastoral & hunter/gatherer)

Pacific Islands
Shamanism (not much for actual oral stories, but lots of ethnographic and interpretive texts)
Native American (this list mixes together Mesoamerican urban cultures with various rural indigenous cultures)
